Urban and OFYR – love at first sight
Our story with Urban began five years ago, when he cooked on an OFYR for the very first time. That moment quickly turned into a lasting bond. Urban is someone who respects fire without romanticising it. He plays with fire – with precision, courage and a finely tuned sense for the right moment. For him, cooking over fire is a ritual: a way of arriving, listening, and engaging with heat, time and ingredients with full intention.
Since then, Urban has cooked for and with countless guests on the OFYR, inspiring them and supporting us at many events with his expertise. He doesn’t see the OFYR as a device, but as a tool that tells stories. Stories of simplicity, craft and real flavour.
A second passion: Superolios
Alongside fire cooking, Urban has a deep love for exceptional olive oils. Not just any oils, but Superolios – olive oils with depth, character and a clear sense of origin. Urban is a trained olive oil taster and passionate importer. He knows the producers, the trees, the harvest and the press. He knows what makes an olive oil truly outstanding – and just as importantly, why.
He shares this knowledge not academically, but through sensory experience. Urban invites you to smell, taste, compare and understand. For him, olive oil is not a product; it is culture.
