Kale Chips | Recipe
As the days grow shorter and cooler, light bites around the OFYR become all the more precious. Kale chips are the perfect autumn snack: crisp, smoky and irresistibly moreish – ideal to share as an apéro treat outdoors.
Preparation
Prepare the OFYR
Light a fire with dry hardwood and heat the plate evenly. Once the surface is hot enough that water droplets evaporate instantly, the OFYR is ready.
Ingredients for 4 people
- 200 g fresh kale leaves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fleur de Sel or sea salt
- Optional: chilli flakes or smoked paprika
Method
- Wash the kale thoroughly, dry well and remove the tough stalks. Tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
- Toss the kale with olive oil until evenly coated.
- Spread the leaves on the hot OFYR plate in a single layer.
- Roast for 3–5 minutes, turning once, until crisp and slightly charred at the edges.
- Season with Fleur de Sel and, if desired, a touch of chilli or smoked paprika.
A crunchy autumn snack – simple, seasonal and perfect for sharing around the fire.
